After to days the "googles" started setting in and I looked up the difference between fibrocystic disease and breast cancer.
Symptoms of Fibrocystic Breast Disease
- swollen and/or tender breasts
- possibility of one or more lumps
- pain level from minor to severe
Signs and symptoms of breast cancer may include:
- A breast lump or thickening that feels different from the surrounding tissue
- Bloody discharge from the nipple
- Change in the size or shape of a breast
- Changes to the skin over the breast, such as dimpling
- Inverted nipple
- Peeling, scaling or flaking of the nipple or breast skin
- Redness or pitting of the skin over your breast, like the skin of an orange
Hi jjs, I've just been reading your blog from the beginning in case you are wondering why I'm commenting so late! This is EXACTLY what I thought about my lump too! I was convinced it was fibrocystic as I too had no history. Its just interesting reading this and remembering exactly how I felt!
ReplyDeleteI think it is easier to believe the known than the unknown. I am thankful I am finally at the end of my treatment, it amazes me how many of "us" there are. Hope all is well!
